I love to keep my paintings full of color, and one way to achieve this is to put color into the shadows. Without realizing it, you can pull down a colorful painting by using dull shadows.
In this short tutorial, I'll show you several ways to put colorful shadows into your paintings without using grays made from black and white. There is also a section on how to create beautiful and vibrant neutrals.
This is a short class, with lots of beautiful examples and a couple of demonstrations. These steps are easy to follow and easy to incorporate into your paintings! I hope you'll join me!
Project Guide

Your project is to find a painting you had done previously, and rework the shadows to incorporate one of the lessons taught in this series.
