This wizard-like application is specifically designed to help you if the system you installed the ESET Endpoint Encryption or ESET Full Disk Encryption are not booting properly and cannot be accessed using regular booting methods. In other words, it is an encryption recovery utility ready to help you create a bootable disk for systems using software encryption or OPAL self-encrypting drives.

Apply a Windows RE image on an USB drive
The application can create three types of media, namely WIN RE bootable USB for 64-bit architectures, an EFI USB for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems, or a Win RE ISO for 64-bit systems. In other words, it applies a Windows RE-based recovery environment on a blank USB drive or an ISO disc image that can be later used for booting the encrypted system.

Once you select the recovery media, the next step is to select the destination USB disk or the target path, in case you decide to create an ISO image. The ESET Recovery Media Creator can recover computers that are encrypted using the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server, as well as systems encrypted using the ESET Full Disk Encryption via ESET Protect. Another alternative is to create bootable media for a system encrypted using the standalone ESET Endpoint Encryption. This software utility is also used for generating diagnostics data when requested by the ESET support team.
