Description​

Applied Control Systems 3: UAV drone (3D Dynamics & control) is the third part of the Applied Control Systems training series, which focuses on UAVs and drones. There are noticeable similarities in the design process of self-propelled vehicles and UAVs, and both use a number of common technologies, such as Model Predictive Control and state space systems alike. Unlike cars, in the design of UAVs, we are faced with a new topic called feedback control, which you will get acquainted with briefly during the process of this section. Designing and programming drones is one of the most popular jobs in the present era and their use is increasing day by day.

Among the most important uses of UAVs are transportation and on-site delivery services, entertainment, military applications, rescuing victims and assisting rescue workers, inspecting the quality of structures, and so on. Due to their small size and high maneuverability, drones can easily penetrate difficult and long areas and perform various missions. In smart drones, the path and target point are determined in a three-dimensional environment, and then the robot can reach the place without the need for human help and guidance. The advanced algorithms of these drones can determine the path to the target as soon as requested and move towards it immediately. UAVs have multiple blades, and algorithms usually have the task of adjusting the direction and speed of rotation of each blade to move at a certain angle.
